2.4GHz Digitally-coded Radio Tag - now in a Leg Band (Ring) Form Factor!

We took our smallest-in-class battery-only digitally-coded transmitter, swapped out the whip antenna for a new chip antenna we designed in-house, and put it all into a self-locking leg band form factor for simple attachment and release. The current version is buildable down to a ~size 5 (USGS Bird Banding Laboratory standards) band, with a total height of 19mm and inner dimensional cross section of 6.4 x 8.4mm. The oval shape better conforms to the leg of a bird while allowing for a sliding and locking door to close the band.
