Michael Lanzone is the main developer of Cellular Tracking Technologies’s product line. Michael is a research biologist with a history of developing technical solutions to solve data collection problems for scientific research programs.
Chief Operating Officer, Founder
Casey is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Cellular Tracking Technologies. Using his software, electronics, and radio frequency skillset, he developed the original line of GSM wildlife tracking devices when the company was founded. He has since moved on to managing the company’s operations as well as evolving the company’s product line. He previously worked at AT&T Mobility as a Principal Technical Architect and performed in network security roles at several other technology companies.
Chief Technology Officer
Sheldon is our Chief Technology Officer and embedded software engineer with a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University. He specializes in developing new product features, improving power efficiency, and developing innovative case ergonomics.

Jason Benedict is the Lead Manufacturing Technician of Cellular Tracking Technologies product lines. Jason has 15+ years of Electronic Manufacturing and Electronic Assembly processes from various global companies. Jason has a strong background in electronic PCB manufacturing and testing procedures of numerous electronic assemblies.
Senior Applications Engineer
Andrew’s career began with a desire to work with globally-operating wildlife conservation organizations. To that end, he has garnered 12+ years of professional field experience in academia, NGO’s, government agencies, and environmental consulting firms. At Cellular Tracking Technologies he applies his unique combination of systems-level thinking, love of technology, and appreciation of geography to help wildlife researchers and organizations around the world obtain the critical information they need through customized hardware and software solutions.

Senior Data Engineer
Bob brings to CTT an innate interest in bird movement patterns and has a decade of experience with developing information systems relating to birds. Bob develops and maintains Cellular Tracking Technologies’s data interface, back end databases, data backup, and server infrastructure.
Senior Data Scientist
Russell has been building tools for biologists since 2007. At CTT, he develops systems that help biologists find actionable meaning in their data. He also serves as the President of Dunkadoo, a non-profit that provides software for bird researchers around the world. He holds a degree in Informatics from Indiana University Bloomington where he did research in using artificial intelligence to study birds. Russell was previously the founder and CEO of Ornicept Specteo, and his research has earned him a place on Forbes Magazine’s list of “30 Under 30.”
Ryan develops product tests and manufacturing processes to ensure the highest possible product quality and reliability. Ryan gained experience in designing rigorous tests in the precision fiber optics industry.
Product Technician & Biologist
Glen brings 15+ years of biological science experience to CTT to help build the ideal tracking units for the researchers we serve. From extensive seabird research for wind-power initiatives and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), to songbird migration investigations for the Cape May Bird Observatory, there’s a wide-range of research endeavors that Glen has spearheaded. His scientific, teaching, and tour-leading experience now serves to improve the CTT product line and its utility to the scientific community.
