PowerTag
OUR UHF BATTERY TAG
Long-range radio tracking without solar
Our PowerTagâ„¢ is the battery-powered sibling of CTT’s LifeTagâ„¢ allowing researchers to track study subjects continuously day and night. Because it uses battery power, it’s the perfect application for tracking animals where sun exposure is limited such as nocturnal or burrowing species.Â
Each PowerTag contains a globally-unique digital ID. This lets you to track unlimited animals across various projects and studies.
Unlike other radio tag technologies, our digital IDs cannot be confused with noise bursts or other false positives, so researchers get clean data they can count on.

Our PowerTag can be used on a wide array of taxa and species including, but certainly not limited to, snakes, terrapins, turtles, bats, kangaroo rats, mice, kiwis, rails, burrowing owls, and songbirds.
Use PowerTags with the CTT SensorStation for long-range radio tracking. Add CTT Nodes for fine-scale movement data. You can also easily find your animals in the field with the CTT Locator!
