The Argos System is a constellation of satellites on a polar orbits, that are able to cover the globe. It uses a robust data transmission system that is able to pick up the weakest signals in the harshest of environments. Argos is extremely useful in remote environments or over oceans, where terrestrial networks are unavailable. CTT offers products that use Argos exclusively, or as a supplemental technology, to provide frequent updates while the tracking device is out of the GSM coverage area.
Argos is able to provide doppler shift positioning, as well as data connectivity. Our advanced Argos devices provide GPS accurate positions, Activity Index, battery and health information, as well as mortality and illness indications.
Our Evolution Series 100 series features two very low cost Argos products. The ES-100 is our smallest, lightest, and battery-free design. Our ULR system features an Ultra Long Range UHF radio technology. The user can deploy multiple base stations that collect data automatically from the device. The range of these ULR base stations rival current cellular technology. With optional Argos capability, you can still track our animal outside the coverage area, in case of dispersal.
