The reintroduction of the Bearded Vulture is one of the most ambitious environmental projects in Andalusia, Spain. Having the maximum number of daily locations is needed, and for this reason, it is important to use a technology like that of Cellular Tracking Technologies. We have deployed CTT transmitters on vultures in the natural park of Cazorla and have had positive results. The transmitters are obtaining many more positions than conventional transmitters and are running without glitches. We have been able to detect unknown patterns movement, and we are learning interesting things about using temporary space breeding area.
We plan to continue using CTT’s units in the future.
