CTT-5000p Series
GPS-GSM Mammal Tracking System
The CTT-5000p line is a second generation advanced GPS-GSM mammal telemetry system. In addition to the standard transmitter module and nylon or leather collar, optional solar panels and a unique release system allow for solar recharging and recovery of your collar. The total system weights range from 200g and up, with heavier materials used for larger animals. The device is designed for operation over long periods of time, dependent on recharging and duty cycle. Collars equipped with the optional solar panels generally have longer lifespans and can sustain more frequent GPS location intervals. All of our collars can operate at different sampling rates depending on defined geofences and customized duty cycles. Our optional unique release system allows the collar to drop off of the animal when a specific command is sent to the unit over the cellular network. Cellular technology allows the device to transmit large batches of telemetry data at considerably lower costs than satellite devices. If cellular network coverage is unavailable, the unit can store data points until it returns to a coverage area. GPS data are sent as batched packets of data, NOT as text messages. All data are automatically parsed and available in various formats for download via a secure web portal.
