CTT-1000a Series (2nd Gen)
CTT-1020a-1030a
The CTT-1020-1030 line is a second generation advanced solar powered battery GPS-GSM telemetry system. The transmitter is a backpack-style unit that attaches with teflon ribbon. Weights from 20g to 35g are available. The device is designed for operation over long periods of time with adequate lighting conditions, and can operate at different GPS sampling rates depending on defined geofences and programmed duty cycles. Cellular technology allows the device to frequently update large batches of telemetry data at considerably lower costs than satellite devices. If cellular coverage is unavailable, the unit can store data points until it returns to a coverage area. If due to the unlikely event that the device cannot charge due to extended periods of unfavorable weather, it will enter a "power save" mode, recharging until it is safe to operate again. GPS data are sent as batched packets NOT as text messages.
